Worship Through the Word
We believe that the public proclamation of scripture is of primary importance in any worship service. We strive to be a church that is completely guided by and submitted to the truths of God as revealed in His Word. The Bible is our only foundation for faith and practice. We believe in the perfect inerrancy, complete authority, and absolute sufficiency of Scripture; and we view the preaching of God's Word as powerful and precious.
Our Pastor is committed to an expository approach to preaching, and he seeks to systematically unfold and clearly explain the teaching of scripture verse-by-verse. Each sermon is rooted in the Biblical text. It is our prayer that as you see God revealed in His Word, the Holy Spirit would compel you to be a
"doer of the Word, and not a hearer only."
Worship Through Music
Music is a wonderful gift from God, by which He is glorified, believers are built up, and unbelievers are convicted of their lost condition. Our church loves and values music in worship, and we begin every service with an extended time of congregational singing. We believe that God commands every believer to personally worship Him both in private and when assembled together. It is for this reason that we encourage active participation in worship, whether in congregational singing or in meditating on the truths of God's Word presented by gifted musicians within our church.
In our congregational worship, we seek to maintain a clear distinction from current popular culture and to worship God in a manner befitting His Great Name. We love to sing traditional hymns of the faith, along with newer hymnody that accurately reflects the character of God in content, musical style, and presentation. In every aspect of our worship, we desire to magnify the Lord and say,
"Here is Our God! Let us Worship Him in Spirit and in Truth!"
